72 Hr Kit List
With some recent events where we live I wanted to refresh our 72 hr kit list and wanted to share with all of you!!! For some tips on how I gathered our items, I bulk shopped for food items, stopped by the Dollar Store, and local camping/emergency preparedness store for items, oh and this place called Amazon!!
Other tips:
- Use backpacks you already have (last years backpacks)
- Store items in a easy-access place, near coats or doors so if you need to grab them they are in one place.
- If you feel it necessary, prepare a small 72 hr CAR KIT.
- We have little kids, so their backpacks are small and don't contain all of there items, so we have extra bags. If we need to I plan on bringing our stroller or wagon to help carry the bags and children.
- As far as clothes, I packed them 6mo-12 months bigger than what they are currently wearing.
- I rotate the food in my 72 hr kits every 6 months.
- Included at the bottom of page 2 are some name tag options for you to attach and include in your children's backpack.
